This agreement covers your use of the WebDebugX desktop application and this website. Plain-language summaries are provided for each section; the full text is what governs. WebDebugX is free: there is no paid tier, no subscription and no account to create.
Using WebDebugX means you accept this agreement.
By downloading, installing or using WebDebugX (the "Software") you agree to this User Agreement. If you do not agree, do not install or use the Software.
We may update this agreement as the Software changes. Continued use after an update takes effect constitutes acceptance of the revised terms.
Free to use; you may not resell it or take it apart.
We grant you a personal, non-exclusive, non-transferable licence to install and use the Software free of charge.
You may not resell, rent, sublicense or redistribute the Software, remove or obscure any proprietary notices, or attempt to derive its source code except to the extent that such a restriction is prohibited by applicable law.
Debug pages and apps you own or are allowed to test. Nothing else.
WebDebugX is a neutral technical tool for lawful development, testing, quality assurance and troubleshooting.
You may use it only on devices, applications and web pages that you own or are explicitly authorized to inspect. Using it to access, examine or interfere with systems, applications or data belonging to others without permission is prohibited and may be unlawful in your jurisdiction.
You are solely responsible for ensuring your use complies with applicable law, with the terms of the services you inspect, and with any obligations you owe to your employer or clients.
Every feature is free. Codes are free too, and they expire — a new one costs nothing.
The Software is provided free of charge. Every feature is available to every user: there is no paid tier, no subscription and no feature held behind a paywall.
Using the Software requires an activation code. Codes are issued at no cost — for example to users who publish a review or a tutorial about the Software — and no purchase is possible or required at any point.
An activation code carries a validity period and stops working when it lapses. When that happens the Software will ask for a new code. Obtaining another one is free and works the same way as the first; expiry is not a step at which payment is introduced.
We do not ask you for payment and we do not process payment details for the Software.
Features can change; the online services are not guaranteed to be up.
We may add, change or remove features, and we may discontinue the Software.
Update and version services are provided on a best-effort basis and may be interrupted for maintenance or for reasons outside our control.
The Software may check for updates and may indicate a minimum supported version. Very old versions may stop being able to use the online services.
Provided as is, free of charge; liability is limited to the extent the law allows.
The Software is provided "as is" and "as available", without warranties of any kind, whether express or implied, including merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose and non-infringement.
To the maximum extent permitted by law, we are not liable for indirect, incidental, special or consequential damages, or for loss of data, profits or business, arising out of or relating to your use of the Software.
Because the Software is supplied free of charge, our aggregate liability arising out of or relating to it is limited to the maximum extent permitted by applicable law.
Stop using it whenever you like; serious misuse can end your access.
You may stop using the Software at any time and uninstall it.
We may withdraw access to the online services from an installation that materially breaches this agreement, in particular the authorized-use provisions.
